Benefits of the physical exercise

The physical exercise can be defined as the voluntary physical activity that requires some of our physical qualities and it is oriented to improve our health and welfare.

The benefits of the physical exercise on the health are multiple and well proven: it improves the control of the blood pressure and the cardiovascular capacity, it reduces the arteriosclerosis, increases the pulmonary capacity, it acts as a factor of prevention of he chronic obstructive lung disease and the respiratory infections, it allows the control of weight and the levels of cholesterol and diabetes, it improves the muscular shape maintaining the bone body and the articular functionalism, it improves the immunological system that defends us against the infections and cancers, it improves the life quality in the women that have entered in the menopause and it acts as an anti-aging avoiding the oxidation of our organism.

Regarding mental health, the physical exercise is a good stabilizer of the psychiatric symptoms improving the welfare of the patients and acting as an important element of self-confidence and socialization.

The exercise has to be adequate and adapted to each individual, practiced in a frequent and regular way and it’s better if it can be supervised by a professional. It’s advisable to do exercise at least three days per week with a duration of 30 to 50 minutes.

Walking, running, dancing, swimming, biking, taking care of a vegetable garden, practicing a sport are examples of physical exercise but there are also other ways to do it like leaving the car at home or not taking the lift and go up the stairs.

And we remind you that the benefits of the physical exercise are multiplied if we do the exercise in contact with the nature.
